The Mahsud Welfare Association (MWA), in collaboration with Khubaib Foundation Pakistan, initiated a critical project aimed at providing safe drinking water through the installation of a solar tube well in Barwand, South Waziristan District. The project commenced in August 2021, with an initial investment of approximately nine hundred thousand. Khubaib Foundation Honorable chairman Mr. Nadeem Ahmed Khan inaugurated the project. The implementation of the project faced numerous challenges, including rugged terrain and deep water levels. However, significant progress has been made, with 40% of the work completed, including the digging process, installation of PVC pipes, and construction of a safety room for solar system machinery. The success of the project hinges upon securing additional funding for crucial components such as solar panels, a solar submersible machine, solar plates, solar pump inverter and water distribution PVC pipes.
